How “under $50” was decided
The three tiers
Under $15: stocking stuffers, nothing to size
Rawlings' glove conditioner and the break-in kit. Any kid with a leather glove uses both, and the break-in kit is the right gift for the kid who just got a stiff new glove for his birthday. The break-in guide is the note to tuck in the box.
Under $30: batting gloves and bags
Clout batting gloves are the gift every 8-year-old asks for and the one that gets lost by June, so a second pair is never wasted (ask a size).
